Position Overview:
We are looking for a qualified Billing Certified Coder to support our billing department by handling routine and complex encounter coding. In this role, you will ensure accurate and timely coding for medical, mental health, and dental services based on your review of clinical records. You will be responsible for submitting accurate claims and ensuring proper coding for services and diagnoses.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform both routine and complex encounter coding for medical, mental health, and dental services.
  • Review clinical records to ensure appropriate coding of services and diagnoses.
  • Provide accurate and timely billing functions for claim submission.
  • Ensure compliance with billing standards and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and insurance representatives in a courteous and professional manner.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold an active Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification through the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing and coding.
  • Basic knowledge of computers, file systems, and report logic.
  • Understanding of accounting principles related to charges, adjustments, and payments.
  • Strong ability to manage medical information confidentially and effectively.
  • Professional communication skills and ability to interact courteously with patients and staff.
